President Macron comes to Washington

It was a ceremony befitting America’s oldest ally. President Trump and the First Lady welcomed the French delegation yesterday with all the decorum of an official state visit, including a 21-gun salute, military inspection, and hundreds of guests waving French and American flags across the White House South Lawn.

Nice job of emphasizing US/French ties (via Louisiana). Much more thoughtful and creative than I expected. Hats off to Melania!

President Trump is guest of honor at Paris Bastille Day celebrations

Melania wears a floral frock in a fit-and-flare silhouette from Italian fashion house Valentino.

Melania Trump wears a bright red fitted skirt suit by Christian Dior.
Her choice was an homage to Dior's 70th anniversary and the “Christian Dior: Couturier du Reve” retrospective at Les Arts Decoratifs.
Her stylist, French designer Herve Pierre, also designed her gown for the inaugural ball.

Brigitte  Macron's Louis Vuitton little white dress and jacket ensemble, paired with blue suede pumps rounded out the red, white and blue color palette quite nicely.

Emmanuel Macron and his wife met when he was a 15-year-old 10th grader at a Jesuit high school in Amiens, and she was a 40-year-old married mother of three children, one of whom was in Mr. Macron’s class.

Then known by her married name, Auzière, she taught French literature and ran the theater club.
She divorced her husband and moved to Paris with her lover once he turned 18 and the two became an official couple.
