Henry and Meredith Lerman, 84 and 77 years old, respectively, have been married for 58 years, most of which was spent in New York, followed by a stay in Atlanta. Looking for a change, they moved to Denver and built this single-family contemporary home.
They bought the property for $655,000 in 2007, according to public records. They tore down the existing home and began the arduous, two-year task of designing and building the home.
Open-floor plan with views of the mountains. The main living area features 13-foot-and-8-inch ceilings with large glass panes that overlook the landscape. Retractable shades with fabric imported from France can be drawn to reduce solar gain.

The large canvas mural was painted by artist Michael Colley, and laminated to the wall. It depicts a scene meant to evoke 1940s New York, a la the Algonquin Hotel.
