As the inauguration day's ceremonial rituals drew to a close, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump stepped out to lead the dance at one of a string of glitzy inaugural balls before being joined by Vice-President Mike Pence, his wife Karen, and both families' children.

CNN has been slammed for a "what if" report on what would happen if President-elect Donald Trump was assassinated during Inauguration Day on Friday.   It explained that an Obama administration official would be taking power—if the entire top-level of the presidential line of succession is wiped out.
